Bridge Inspection Program

Undergraduate Cooperative Opportunity Program

NMSU Civil Engineering students have the unique opportunity to perform 6 months of bridge inspections across the state of New Mexico with a licensed civil engineer. Typically, co-ops work in teams of two, will travel over 13,000 miles, and will inspect close to $2 billion in NMDOT infrastructure during the program. Co-ops must apply at least one semester in advance at Career Services, place a registrar’s hold on their accounts to enable full-time status and financial aid maintenance while in the program, and be able to legally work in the U.S. during the program.
