New Mexico state officials to open NMSU conference

New Mexico State University will host the 2022 New Mexico Transportation and Construction Conference at the Las Cruces Convention Center April 20-22.  The annual New Mexico Transportation and Construction Conference – NM TransCon – includes a technical program with four plenary sessions and 11 concurrent sessions, organized by leaders of the industry for industry professionals to stay up-to-date with trends and cutting edge technologies in civil infrastructure.  New Mexico Lt. Gov. Howie Morales is the opening speaker at 1:30 p.m. April 20, followed by Michael Sandoval, New Mexico Department of Transportation cabinet secretary. The American Society of Civil Engineers national president, Maria Lehman, will address the conference at approximately 12 p.m. April 21 as the keynote speaker. These presentations will take place live and in person with a virtual viewing option for attendees unable to attend the event.  NM TransCon is hosted by NMSU’s College of Engineering in collaboration with the New Mexico Department of Transportation, American Planning Association-New Mexico, American Society of Civil Engineers-New Mexico Section, American Council of Engineering Companies-New Mexico, Asphalt Pavement Association-New Mexico, Associated Contractors of New Mexico and the Federal Highway Administration-New Mexico Division.
