NMSU ASCE excels at Rocky Mountain Regional Competition

Daniel B. Jett ASCE members with awards at 2017 Rocky Mountain Regional Conference

The students of the Daniel B. Jett Student Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) at New Mexico State University traveled to Salt Lake City, Utah, to participate in the 2017 Rocky Mountain Regional Competition, held at the University of Utah, on April 6-8, 2017. The NMSU Student Chapter of ASCE participated in all events and competitions, including technical and non-technical paper presentations, mystery design, steel bridge design, and concrete canoe design and races. The NMSU students received several awards, including first place in the non-technical paper category, first place in concrete canoe final product, and second place overall in the concrete canoe competition.
