Environmental Engineering

For over 30 years, the Civil Engineering Department has actively developed educational and research programs in various aspects of environmental engineering, to include sustainable engineering solutions for environmental problems to protect humans and our environment. Our groups focus on surface, groundwater, and wastewater treatment, quality analysis, and pollution control; solid and hazardous waste systems design; aquatic chemistry; environmental microbiology; and mass transfer of pollutants in engineered and natural systems.
